Azurette for Birth Control: I only took one pack. I started on BC for my mood swings caused from PMS. It was really good for the weeks up until my period, my mood was fine and I was really happy with Azurette. When I finally got my period, I had the worst cramps I have ever had. It was horrible. I couldn't sleep and no amount of Midol helped with the pain. So, I finished the pack and I'm done with it. I'm still deciding if I even want to try another BC.

Azurette for Birth Control: This medication is horrible. I was on Kariva for several years and was very happy with it. My pharmacy then switched me over to Azurette and since then I have had nothing but issues with this drug. I am a migraine sufferer and since taking Azurette, my migraines are worse and more frequent. I am having at least 4 migraines a month and not just during my period. I also have had increased anxiety, mood changes, and hair loss. I DO NOT recommend this product...it should be taken off the market. It is nothing like Kariva! I just called another pharmacy and switched back to Kariva. I am hoping I have better luck with Kariva like I did in the past.

Azurette for Birth Control: Wow. I thought that I was just loosing it but the more I read the more I'm convinced that my recent sadness and mood swings are a result of this pill. I've only been taking it for a bout a month but I've started to feel nausea and just sad for no reason at all. I couldn't figure out why but I think this might be it. I was also switched from another pill to this one. The first one was way better.

I switched from Loestrin 24 to Azurette to get away from the mood swings and the feeling pregnant feeling and I totally got a phantom pregnancy! I'm taking myself off this to go back to something else.

Azurette for Birth Control: I had been on Kariva, when my pharmacy changed my prescription to Azurette. They told me that it was essentially the same thing, the same dose and everything. Yet....I have felt completely horrible the past few months while on Azurette. I thought at first that it was just my body adjusting to the pill, but no. I have gained approximately 10 pounds, whereas on Kariva I gained zero. I just feel disgusted being on these pills and I am extremely active. I am a Corrections officer and I am still in the National guard. I was just glad to see that I wasn't the only one experiencing these horrible symptoms.

It's been a little over two weeks on Azurette, and I feel like an emotional wreck- I experience irritation and rage several times a day, as well as feelings of sadness and depression. I am fatigued, and my skin looks worse than it has in years. I am done with this pill as of today.

Azurette for Birth Control: I was automatically switched from Kariva to azurette which I thought was weird but hoped it would work well for me. Since I've been switched to azurette I've noticed intense mood swings, depression, increased appetite, stomach pains every now and then when I wait too long to eat, and weight gain! I've probably gained 10-15 lbs since they switched the pill. My heart speeds up as well sometimes after taking it which isn't good. I also noticed a oily scalp which wasn't this bad before. I'm going back to Kariva (I hope it's still available!). I'm pretty sure my boyfriend is sick of my mood swings and so am I. I definitely wouldn't recommend azurette!

I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo, which was great, but wasn't as effective with my skin and had more side effects. With Azurette, there are no side effects that I notice so far. Now that my body is adjusting I have a really bad temper, can switch moods on the drop of a dime and I have absolutely no interest in anything sexual. Now I'm back on my period again after only a week and 1/2 and kinda wondering why? It's not heavy but feels like a full blown period. Azurette for Birth Control: Be careful with Azurette! I was on Kariva and then Walgreens switched me over to Azurette as well. I have been on Azurette for a year now and just getting off because I've been dealing with monthly yeast infections. My doctor figured out that the last week "period week" of pills contains estrogen which has been giving me yeast infections every month. My body needs that last week off. I had been trying to figure out my yeast infections for 4 or 5 months and we finally figured it out ...so just an fyi for any of you out there dealing with the same thing. I've been off of it for two weeks now and feel just awful. I've been getting crazy anxiety attacks at the most random times and awful pressure headaches. Azurette for Birth Control: When first taking BC this time around I was on Mircette and things seemed to go well, as far as I can remember 3-4 years ago. Insurance changed and then came Kariva and about 10lbs in year one. Also came was more emotions, feelings or paranoya and more sensitive than usual. But the symptons were not overwhelming except the weight gain and in another 6 months gained another 5-7lbs in year 2. But then 4-5 months ago insurance changed again and came Azurette and greatly increased all my emotions to an uncontrollable levels and another 8lbs making 25lb weight gain in 2 years. I feel depressed, I cry for no reason, I am super sensitive and this simply is not who I am. I feel absolutely crazy!! I am not interested in sex at all and would be fine to never have it again. After going to my ob/gyn and PCP, it is determined these feelings are due to mainly Azurette and Kariva. For some reason I didn't notice any symptons on Mircette. I went off Azurette mid-cycle because I didn't think I could handle 3.5 more weeks of craziness. I feel like an emotional train wreck. I was going to go back on Mircette but think I will stay off birth control to see what normal feels like again.

Azurette for Birth Control: I am 19 yrs old and this is the first time I have used any form of birth control. My biggest complaint about this pill is fatigue and drowiness. I sleep so much, and could sleep all day if I let my body have its way. I'm a runner, and I even feel fatigued when I run now- making it difficult to maintain interest and speed during my running workouts. This is the first pill I have ever been on, and I have not been on it for very long- I hope the fatigue subsides. Also, the water retention is very noticable. I used to get it only during my PMS/ my period but now it is there all the time. Some pros to the pill: I lost 8 lbs in less than a month and my appetite has gone WAY down. I used to be an insomniac, now I sleep like a baby (too well though), and I used to deal with extreme depression, and now my moods are very stable.

Azurette for Birth Control: I've been taking this BC for about 10 months and I've gained 12 pounds (I was a bit underweight before, but only needed to gain about 5 pounds). A few years ago I was on a different but similar drug (Apri, I think) and gained weight from that too. When I stopped taking that one, I lost 10 pounds without even trying. When I started taking Azurette after about a 1.5 year break from BC, my appetite was HUGE all the sudden. Its how I would imagine the appetite of a pregnant woman. I get specific cravings and HAVE TO EAT that kind of food. I was NOT like this before. I also have had headaches, moodiness, and lethargy but I thought that might have been from something else. The weight gain is the main and most important negative side effect to me. On the other hand, my periods are very regular and lighter than they used to be, and my skin is clearer. I used to get the big deep pimples maybe once or twice a month (the kind that has a sore bump under the skin and leaves a scar), and I haven't had one of those since I started this again which is GREAT. Overall though, I've got to try something else. Why would I want to be bulging out of my clothes and feeling fat as a 24 year old newlywed? Its like there is a new layer of fat that won't go away unless I stop taking this. I'm switching to something else when I go to obgyn for annual exam next month, for sure!

Azurette for Birth Control: I recently visited my gyno after experience bleeding during sex, which according to the internet is nothing good. However, the more I thought about it, the more I realized I had begun experiencing symptoms since switching from Kariva to Azurette about eight months ago. Over these months, I have gained about 15 pounds, had mood swings, noticed hormonal changes such as an increasingly greasy scalp, spotting between periods, heart palpatations, and have almost passed out twice. I never put these symptoms together; however, reading these other posts, I am almost positive this is related to Azurette. I will never take this pill again. The symptoms of deep depression, sadness, anger, weight gain, worsening migraines have continued and finally led me to try to compare the inactive ingredients of Kariva to Azurette. Only I can't find Azurette's complete list of ingredients ANYWHERE -- not even on the package! Finally, I found these reviews and am enormously relieved to find that so many others have had the same experiences.
